The space
This spacious villa – suitable to host up to 8 people comfortably – is conveniently situated in the heart of Granada, just off the city noise in a side-street, allowing you to enjoy the privacy and relax without all the inconvenience of the city traffic. There are many luxurious features listed below that may remind you of a five star hotel only without that price tag and hassle of hotels. Complimentary, included in the price are private pool, high speed wifi, bicycles for you to use, potable water, AC throughout the house, luxury linens and towels, board games, books and the real colonial relax atmosphere. Our friend, Julio, will welcome you upon arrival and give you the useful tips on what to do around the city. He will also be looking after you during your stay – he can be contacted any time, and can organize cleaning service every day of your stay at no extra cost should you need it.
Our family believes, and our guests are telling us, that Casa de Arcos has become one of the nicest and loveliest villa in town after recent refurbishment. We know you will appreciate the changes we have made and the large spaces as it is something hard to find in other rentals in Granada – believe us, we have done the legwork! 
Colonial style and matching details thoughout the house give warm ambiance. You will find a main living room area in the center of the house, a kitchen & dining room area, garden & pool area that is fully private. Luckily, Granada's low light pollution levels make it possible to have amazing views of the night sky, counting stars from the pool or watching a Nicaraguan thunderstorm from a comfortable sofa have become precious and unique experiences for us that we would love to share with you as well.

OUR STORY & CONNECTION TO THIS VILLA
We are a family of 6 (Viki, Marci and our 4 gorgeous kids at the ages of 10, 8, 6 and 4) all the way from Hungary, Europe. We are travelers, entrepreneurs, bloggers, visionaries who love exploring the world with our children. During our 1-year long, adventure-filled motorhome-travel across the Americas, we fell in love with the city and Casa de Arcos and decided to buy it for us as a second home, and refurbish it for the pleasure of other visitors as well. We are excited to be able to share our home with you and will make sure you will have a great time and enjoy Granada the way we do.

ABOUT THE SPACE - FEATURES, FACILITIES
This spacious villa has the capability to host up to 8 guests comfortably. It is just as ideal for honemooning couples looking for a romantic getaway (by using only the groundfloor), or for bigger groups wanting to share a good time together. It features three large rooms, two ensuite with built-ins. Unlike other rentals in the area, there’s enough room for your luggage and belonging too. You will find a private, impressive pool area with hammock and rockingchairs, a well-sized and well-equipped kitchen and dining area where all of you can sit together and enjoy what Casa de Arcos has to offer.
Our family adores the Colonial details of this place such as high ceilings, handmade Nicaraguan floor tiles, solid wood colonial pillars, red tile rooftop and unique arch doors used as decoration throughout the home. Lamps and tiles have been handmade only to decorate this very building to make it one of a kind. We handpicked the furniture and finishing to add even more personality to it.
Regarding the layout, you will find three bedrooms in the house. On the upper floor there are two bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed plus a queen-sized bed, in the other one there is one queen-size bed. Both rooms upstairs are ensuite (private bathrooms with toilet and shower attached to rooms). On the ground floor there is one bedroom with a king-size bed.
AC in every room, however due to the good building structure probably you won’t even need to use it, even when it’s hot outside. 7 ceiling fans makes air moving throughout the house, keeping even the open air areas pleasant and breezy on hot days. Oscillating floor fans (one in each bedroom) provide additional comfort. We have placed blackout curtains in each bedrooms to provide dark and pece while sleeping in or taking an afternoon siesta. We have brand new, quality linen on the beds for a comfortable night's sleep.

ADDED SERVICES
•Pool: private pool: 5 to 6 feet deep, and 8 feet long, so it’s more than a dipping pool (most houses in Granada have smaller pools) suitable for swimming as well.
•2 bicycles provided for guests at no charge (bike locks also provided)
•Cleaning service is included in the price every day as needed/as requested
•Books, board games
•Mosquito net above beds – if needed
•Julio, your concierge, who is available 24/7 for guests, and can help with transportation, area recommendations, tours, emergencies, and anything else you might need!
•Water supply: 5 gallon purified drinking-water tank provided (and refilled as needed) at no charge / safe access to hot water from every tap (no electric shower head attachments) but only with solar water heater, so please nore, that at some days it may happen, that there is no hot water!
•Cooling: AC, ceiling fans, oscillating floor fans, blackout curtains
•Internet: high speed (6Mb/s) wifi
•TV: flatscreen TV in the living area with a lot of other channels, but you can also connect your laptop with hdmi cable and watch your own content – from the pool, or from the hammock
•Music: we left here for you our JBL wireless bluetooth speaker that you can use anywhere in the house
•Electricity: we have a 110/220V converter that is very useful if you have a 220V appliance, and an universal plug in converter super useful if you are travelling from outside of north- and central America.
•Security & Safety: 3 bright exterior lights and additional iron gate on front door for guests who want to open wooden doors for breeze or to see what's happening outside while feeling safe and secure inside (note: the house is in a very safe neighborhood on the best street in Granada, but we have added these things to give first time visitors added peace of mind), first aid kit with basic medicine, fire extinguisher
•2 toddler seat for cards
•Airport transfer can be organised at a favourable price for our guests: 40$ up to 3-4 guest and 70$ up to 7-8 guests (depending on luggage size).
LOCATION
Casa de Arcos is conveniently located two blocks from San Francisco Convent in a quiet, traffic-free street yet only 3 corners from the main square of the city. Choosing the right location was very important for us during house hunting, because finding a home that is centrally located yet quite is challenging in Granada. Pedestrian streets and neighboring streets are noisy if rooms are facing the streets, especially over the weekends. Bigger, busier roads are noisy due to the traffic, even at nights. At Casa de Arcos, everything is within reach by only a few minutes walking, but when you are at home, you feel like you were in a different world.

KITCHEN
Fully and well-equipped kitchen with coffee machine (American and espresso as well), blender, cooking facilities, oven with 6 burners, microwave oven, plastic plates and cups as well for enjoying a drink by the pool, large fridge with ice prepared.
Home cooking can be organized by amazing chefs we can connect you with.

NEIGHBOURHOOD
When not working on the house or taking on other projects, we enjoy walking around the food markets, drinking freshly-squeezed orange juice. Our secret advice is to go to library of San Francisco Convent and sit in the gorgeous garden of it! We enjoy hiking around the lake with the kids and cycling, trying out the fantastic playgrounds we find along the way. One of our favorite thing on a lazy Sunday is to enjoy a nice brunch in Garden Café with friends. For recommendations on what to do or where to go, feel free to contact us, we are happy to help, but Julio will also give you a lot of useful information upon arrival!.

Getting around
Travelling in and around Granada is supereasy. Try the local buses if you have time, but the easiest way to get around is taxi! It's everywhere and costs 15/20 Cordoba/person.
